It all started with one blanket…
In 2016, I was in the market for a weighted blanket.
I wanted something big and heavy (I’m a pretty big guy), something full of personality! And all the listings I saw online were small, 15 lbs or less, and mostly grey… Where was all the personality?
So I set myself to sewing myself my own weighted blanket, with patterns I loved quilted into a fun and funky blanket that could fully cover my twin size bed. The result? A weighty 25 lb space-themed quilt that I continue to use to this day, 7 years later.
I’ve done several commissions since, each one carefully built together with input from the recipient at every stage to make a totally unique blanket just for them!

A weighted blanket is great for both kids and adults with sensory disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, and can often be beneficial even for those without. Ever wished you could have the sensation of a heavy winter blanket in the summertime without overheating? A weighted blanket is your solution.
My weighted blankets are made with fabrics that you specify, but 100% cotton fabrics are recommended, and they are filled with your selection of 100% hypoallergenic polypropylene pellets or glass beads. Each blanket is carefully hand made so as to distribute the weight of the blanket evenly no matter how it lies on your body, with all seams triple reinforced for integrity.

Price depends on desired size, weight, fabric, and shipping location, starting at around $200.00. Most weighted blanket manufacturers only make blankets up to 42"x72", which is hardly even twin size, and if they do make full, queen, and king size blankets, they are universally smaller than a comforter marketed for the same size bed. My recommended sizes for blankets are:
twin: 60"x80"
full: 75"x80"
queen: 80"x80"
king: 95"x80"
